Estos datos son públicos -figuran en el perfil de cada formación- y el portal ha ido contabilizándolos para elaborar este ránking.

No obstante, advierte de que hay bandas con mayor audiencia que se les pueden haber escapado. Además, la lista se centra principalmente en el mercado anglosajón -la web tiene su base en Estados Unidos- y no figuran grupos españoles como MÄGO DE OZ (1.6 millones de oyentes) o WARCRY (160.000), por poner tan solo dos ejemplos.
